Today marks 21 days from the middle of Spring Break 2021. I was hoping to do a podcast/video discussing whether or not the Spring Break crowds in Florida was a so-called super-spreader, as the media and govt officials were crying about at the time.

Florida, like many other states, is experiencing the well-anticipated “spring uptick”. While Spring Break crowds would certainly be a constituent data block within the “spring uptick”, there is no way for me to distinguish Spring Break-specific data from the overall “spring uptick” data.

Accordingly, I’ll simply say this…

With Florida experiencing the exact same trend as states that are not Spring Break get-away destinations, there is no evidence Spring Break crowds created any statistically significant increase in new daily infections in Florida.
